REACT Conferencing Capabilities

Organisations often have offices around the country with employees working in regional or remote locations with many spending much of their time on-the-road in the course of their work.

Employers often complain how difficult it is to schedule all or sections of their workforce together for training, product updates or meetings.  In addition, many organisations want to tell their clients about new products, product updates or would like to demonstrate features and capabilities.  In most instances employees have to travel to attend these meetings, training and demonstrations or travel to visit clients.

Travel time and expenses incurred together with unproductive down-time is not an efficient way to manage employees and clients across geographical distances.

REACT is designed to replicate one-on-one, one-to-many or any combination thereof meetings whilst employees and clients remain in their own workplaces, offices and homes.  Simply using a standard PC with a webcam and microphone of choice, employees and clients can connect terrestrially or by satellite to their meeting or session.

In the session, they can not only see and hear their employers, supervisors facilitators and suppliers they can see and hear their colleagues too!  Lip-synched Integrated Audio and Video of the highest quality can be streamed seamlessly without issues of latency.  There is no limit to the number of audio and video streams that can run simultaneously and the video can be enlarged to full desktop size without loss of picture quality.  Participants can talk, discuss and debate freely without one audio stream cutting out another.

In addition to the audio and video, a Participant List is automatically displayed with participants 'Profiles' displayed.  Regular participants can personalise their Profile with an image or icon attached to their name which can be changed as often as desired.  A default Profile is displayed for guest participants.

There are two ways to hold a meeting:

  1. An informal setting using video, audio and Chat (text) capabilities where each participant has equal ability to turn on/off the capabilities.  Ideal for discussions between colleagues and with clients.
  2. A semi-formal setting where a Presenter(s) chairs or facilitates the meeting/session, has full access to all the capabilities of REACT mentioned below and retains control of  many of those capabilities.  However, all participants can talk or use the Chat (text) tool whenever they want to.  Ideal for training or demonstrations.

The Chat tool is used extensively in sessions as a quick communications tool without interrupting the current speaker.

Presenters can upload PowerPoint Presentations or slides to provide session content.  Participants can use inking tools to add content to the slides as required providing a great interactive presence.  The inking tools include pen, highlighter, text, shapes, erasor and images can also be dragged and dropped into the slide.  This provides and excellent Collaborative Whiteboard for all to work on and is extremely useful for planning and training purposes.  All Collaborative Whiteboard work can be recorded as a record or for action purposes.

Presenters and particpants can also upload Screenshots (screen grabs/dumps) into the presentation.  This can be any image, document, web page etc that is open on the desktop.  This provides for spur of the moment inclusion of material into a session or provide participants with the opportunity to showcase their work, plans or ideas.

Presenters can also Share Applications that they have running and demonstrate live what they are working on such as budgeting using an Excel spreadsheet.  Presenters can also share participants' desktops with the rest of the participants if desired to show their work for example or to enable participants to demonstrate things too.

Presenters can also Share their Internet Browswer to highlight areas of interest in their or others websites and also enabling flexibility for on the spot research.

Windows Media Files can be played at any time in the session and video and DVDs can also be played where suitable video and DVD players are connected.

REACT provides a capability for File Transferring where any number of files can be sent out to all participants such as session notes, product documentation or action to-do lists.  Participants can also  transfer files to the rest of the participants if required.

All REACT sessions can be fully Recorded, Edited and Replayed as required.  This provides great evidence of the session and also provides a great resource to be used again at a later date.  People who may have missed sessions can watch a replayed session or can watch it again for refresher purposes.

Individual components that can be recorded if the full session is not, are the PowerPoint, inserted Screenshots, Collaborative Storyboard and Chat content.

You now no longer need to waste time in long-term scheduling,  booking meeting rooms, travelling or down-time.  Without leaving the comfort of your own desk, office or home you can hold and/or particpate in all sorts of sessions using the fully interactive capabilities of REACT.

If you have any questions about the capabilities, please email us for a prompt response.
